These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply when you use the services of Ajit's Laundry ("we", "us", "our") at our store or through our website. By handing in garments or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

We provide dry cleaning, steam pressing, wash and fold, shoe spa, household textile care, and related services. Service availability may vary by fabric type, embellishment, and condition of the item. We will advise you at drop-off if an item needs special handling or cannot be processed safely.

2. Pricing

Rates for listed items are published on our online price list. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and may change without prior notice on the website; the rate confirmed at drop-off or shown on your receipt applies to that order.

Additional charges may apply for heavy soiling, stain treatment beyond standard cleaning, rush service (if offered), or items not listed on the price card — we will inform you before proceeding where possible.

3. Payment

We accept Cash, Card & UPI. Payment is due when you collect your order unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may retain garments until outstanding charges are settled.

4. Garment check-in

• Please empty pockets and point out existing damage, stains, or colour bleeding risks before we accept an item.
• We issue a tag or receipt for each order. Keep it safe — it is required for collection.
• We are not responsible for valuables left in pockets.
• Some stains cannot be removed without risk to fabric or colour; we clean to industry standards but cannot guarantee complete stain removal.

5. Care of delicate and specialty items

Silk, wool, leather, zari, sequins, and heavily embellished garments receive careful handling. You accept that inherent risks exist with aged, weakened, or previously damaged fabrics, including shrinkage, colour loss, or trim detachment despite proper care.

6. Collection and unclaimed items

• Please collect your order within a reasonable time after we notify you it is ready.
• Items unclaimed for an extended period may be subject to storage charges or disposal in line with our in-store policy, after reasonable attempts to contact you using the phone number on file.

7. Loss or damage

We take reasonable care of all garments. If you believe an item has been lost or damaged due to our negligence, notify us promptly with your receipt and details of the item.

Our liability for any proven loss or damage is limited to the lesser of:

• Ten times the cleaning charge for that item, or
• The current depreciated value of the garment,

unless a higher value was declared in writing at drop-off and additional charges were paid. We are not liable for damage arising from pre-existing defects, improper prior cleaning, manufacturer defects, or events outside our reasonable control.

8. Website use

Content on ajitslaundry.com is for general information. We aim to keep prices and hours accurate but do not warrant that the site is error-free or always up to date. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.

9. Intellectual property

Our name, logo, website content, and price lists are our property. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect changes. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to the extent permitted by law.
